Think Like a Boss Retreat

New Orleans, Louisiana

Who’s ready to create their own adaptation of “Girl Trip”? From Thursday September 26th – Sunday September 29th The Think Like a Boss Retreat is heading to NOLA!! It’s the cradle of American music, whether you’re into jazz, rock, or sludge metal. It’s both America’s most European city and its most Caribbean city, imbued with French, Spanish, Haitian, and Cuban influence. It proudly holds to tradition, seen in its grand Creole cuisine served in century-old dining palaces and in its wild, joyous, traffic-stopping second line parades where marchers scale rooftops to dance. And we can’t wait to explore the city with our sisters!!

Amenities

NEW ORLEANS HOSPITALITY RUNS THE GAMUT: swank, budget, historic, and spanking new. And we chose the poshest and most historic of them all!

Built in the heart of New Orleans’ bustling port district, Old No.77 served as a coffee warehouse in 1854 before being purchased by E.J. Hart & Company. They used the building as a chandlery, and traded in goods used for sailing voyages – from canvas and rope to paper, tobacco and patent medicines.

Ideally situated just three blocks from the French Quarter , now the Old No. 77 Hotel & Chandlery is a fine boutique hotel with a storied history. Home to a rotating art gallery, Provenance Signature Amenities and Compère Lapin – one of New Orleans’ top restaurants – they’re at the gateway to the cultural epicenter of New Orleans.

EVER HAD DINNER ON THE MISSISSIPPI ON A RIVERBOAT ?

Our Queens will have a night out dressed up listening to Jazz all night on the Mississippi River! Dining, dancing , and savoring the beauty and romance of New Orleans skyline aboard an authentic New Orleans Steamboat !

True to tradition in every detail, boarding the NATCHEZ makes you feel as if you have entered another era. The captain barks his orders through an old-time hand-held megaphone. The calliope trills a melody into the air while the great wheel, 25 tons of white oak, churns the heavy waters of the Mississippi. You soon find yourself slipping into a sense of the old, vast and timeless river.

As the NATCHEZ glides past the French Quarter and through one of the world’s most active ports, you begin to understand the magic of the experience. For all its history and romance, the excitement of riding a steamboat is as real and rich and genuine now as it was a century ago.

EXCURSIONS

Did you think that was it? We take our Queens everywhere!! We have a full day planned for excursions. Of course we’re not leaving Louisiana without going to the Bayou … the Bayous of South Louisiana that is. With accents and humor our tour guides will take us back to the early days of Louisiana bayou and swamp explorations through the primitive beauty of the moss-draped cypress trees and show off the American Alligator and abundant wildlife. Experience up-close our fauna-the inhabitants of their swamp, their flora-the sweet smell of their wild hibiscus rose mallow and marsh mallow plants, and the unique history of the Cajun town of Frenier within the Manchac Swamp.

Florida Alligator in Green Canal Shark Valley Everglades Park

Our next stop is a more historic one while we visit one of the plantations in Louisiana. A stop to remind us that we are our ancestors wildest dreams and we should continue to make them proud. A powerful testimony to the rich history of the antebellum south, Oak Alley invites visitors to explore all facets of her plantation past. The Slavery at Oak Alley exhibit, Civil War exhibit, Sugarcane Theater and Big House offer an experience as compelling as the plantation’s 25 historic acres and 300 year old alley of oaks.
